Experience may be substituted for the Introduction to Travel Training Workshop as follows:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience as a travel trainer with a minimum of 50% of time devoted to travel training duties
  • Submission of a portfolio including:
    • A description of work experience being offered as a substitution including:
      • Job title
      • Employer
      • Years of experience
      • Percent of time spent travel training
      • Approximate number of people travel trained (if experience extends considerably beyond three years, this number can be given as “over XXX people travel trained”)
    • Current job description
    • Letter of verification and reference of all above information from a supervisor

 

To apply for a waiver for the Introduction to Travel Training Workshop, follow these steps:

  • Gather all of the information above
  • Email the above information in electronic format to espaconsulting@easterseals.com with “Waiver of Intro to Travel Training Workshop” in the subject line

This information will be reviewed to determine if the applicant’s work experience meets the requirements for substitution. A follow-up phone interview may be necessary to make this determination.

NOTE: No other substitutions will be considered for the foundation courses.
