Easterseals Project Action is pleased to offer two workshop options on Determining ADA Complementary Paratransit Eligibility. Each option includes 4 half day sessions. You can either register as an individual for one of our scheduled workshops. OR if you have a large group to receive training, you can schedule a private training workshop for just your staff. See below for details on both options.

Workshop Description

This workshop provides transit professionals and managers with the information and tools to develop a comprehensive approach to conducting accurate paratransit eligibility determinations. This workshop will provide participants helpful tips and best practices in determining ADA complementary paratransit eligibility. Participants will also receive informational resources on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements for eligibility determination processes.

Module 1:  Overview of ADA Paratransit Eligibility
Module 2: Foundation and Developing a Process for Accurate, Thorough ADA Eligibility Determinations
Module 3: Interview Techniques
Module 4: Conducting Physical Functional Assessments
Module 5: Conducting Cognitive Functional Assessment
Module 6: Determinations for People with Visual Impairments
Module 7: A Framework for Making Difficult Determinations
Module 8: Eligibility Appeals Process
Module 9: Implementing Trip-by-Trip Eligibility

Virtual Workshop Option 1: Individual Registration for Public Workshop

Anyone can sign up for our public virtual workshops. The dates and times for scheduled workshops are below. Organizations can register as many of their staff as they would like.

 

November 2023 Workshop

Date: Tuesday, November 14 – Friday,  November 17, 2023
Time: 11:00am–3:00pm ET/10:00am-2:00pm CT/9:00am-1:00pm MT/8:00am-12:00pm PT

Registration Fee: $500 (Payment must be made by credit card)

Registration Deadline – November 9th

 

NOTE: A minimum of 9 registrants is required. If we have not reached 9 registrants by one week before the first session, we will cancel the workshop and refund your registration fee. Workshop registration will be capped at 20 participants. Payment must be made by credit card. Cancellation and refund requests must be made at least one week prior to the first session of each workshop. The workshops will not be recorded. No refunds or make-up sessions will be offered for those that miss sessions. You will not receive a completion certificate unless you participate in the entire workshop. Participants must have access to the internet, the ability to access zoom, and a working computer camera to participate.

 

Virtual Workshop Option 2: Private

Easterseals Project Action is pleased to offer the workshop privately to your staff. A minimum of 4 participants are required, but you may have up to 20 participants in any one workshop. As this is a private workshop, the content can be tailored to your specific needs, concerns, and questions. Easterseals will work with you to schedule the sessions in a way that works for you. NOTE: Payment must be made by credit card, purchase order, or via invoice and check payment. The workshops will not be recorded. Participants will not receive a completion certificate unless they participate in the entire workshop.
