The following are frequently asked questions regarding the Easterseals and Center for Urban Transportation Research co-sponsored certification programs. If your question is not covered below, email your question/comment to email@example.com.
Easterseals Project Action Consulting has entered into a formal agreement with the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) to provide the Travel Trainer Certification. Easterseals Project Action Consulting develops and monitors the training and practicum for the certification with close review and approval provided by CUTR. CUTR provides and issues the actual certification.
Work experience may only be substituted for certification credits in the case of the Introduction to Travel Training Workshop. You will have 2 years from the date you register for the program to complete the process.
Within 2 years of of receiving your certification and every two year period you wish to retain your certification after that, you must obtain 15 credit hours of acceptable training courses on the certification topic.
Anyone that has completed the Introduction to Travel Training workshop delivered by Easterseals Project Action Consulting within the 2 years prior to his/her registration for the ctti program, can have those hours credited toward the travel training certification. To make this request, email firstname.lastname@example.org with “Credits for Past Intro to Travel Training Course” in the subject line. You have to have completed your registration for the travel training certification program prior to making this request.
Other courses provided by ESPA Consulting and/or other organization may count toward certification credits. Please see the How to Submit Organization & Event Experience for Credits page for more information and instructions to request these credits.
- Register and pay for the webinar(s) on the ESPAC website (either you or a colleague working at the same organization must register and pay for the webinar(s)).
- Watch/listen to the webinar(s) in full.
- Complete a short survey/quiz for each webinar(link provided during webinar and on webinar PowerPoint presentation).
- Email ESPAConsulting@easterseals.com after quiz is complete requesting credit to be counted toward ctti.

Once you have received your travel training certification certificate from CUTR, you may list the ctti (Certified Travel Training Instructor) credentials following your name.
No. Persons new to and/or unfamiliar with the travel training field may register for and complete the travel training certification.
One credit hour is equal to one hour of instruction. For example, one 90 minute webinar would count as 1.5 credit hours.
